Campaign for Letter of Love
CUBS (Citizens United for Better Society) planned a campaign for letters of love, having taken notice of the reality that the younger generation loses humanity and gets more accustomed to easy and convenient ways of communication due to the rapid spread of the use of the Internet, and also feeling sorry to see people to become more stony-hearted, which accordingly has brought less opportunities to have conversations with close people and express true hearts each other.

Additionally, the 1st Campaign for Letters of Love this time has another import of re-creating the current Valentine Day. The original meaning of Valentine Day was to share chocolates and take care of neighbors with love. But now, it has lost its original color and is not full of commercial and sensual factors. In order to emerge from the current situation and make it a day for true love, the campaign has started.

The campaign, which last from 2 to 5 PM on February 12 at Avartar Street, Myung-dong, Joong-gu, Seoul, consisted of various events such as making my own letter paper (writing a letter full of heart), sharing postcards of love, the exhibition of pretty postcards, photographing commemorative pictures and others.
A lot of citizens on the street participated in the event of ¡®making my own letter paper¡¯, making letter papers on their own and writing words with their whole heart. Almost 200 people including families, married couples, pairs of lovers, and friends took part in ¡®the campaign for letters of love¡¯ at the spot, and the letters written on the day are going to be post collectively in the morning on the 13th by CUBS.
For the event of ¡®sharing postcards of love¡¯, CUBS manufactured three kinds of postcards and distributed them to citizens with college student volunteers so as to let them write words of warm love. The number of the postcards distributed on the day amounts to about 1000. The participants were taken a happy commemorative picture of at the spot.

The pretty and unique postcards exhibited at the event ¡®Exhibition of Pretty Postcards (Letter Papers) pleased the citizens.
Meanwhile, CUBS has plans to continue to display this campaign on such memorial days as Children¡¯s Day, Parents¡¯ Day, Teachers¡¯ Day and so forth, to provide opportunities for people to express warm hearts each other and make the society warmer.
