"Discounted Meals To Family Of Three Generation Who Visit Restaurants Together"
"You can enjoy discounted meals when you visit our restaurant with your grandfather and grandmother...". 'Three Generation Family Love Campaign' was launched starting from July 20 with the participation of 11 restaurants in Jongno-gu, Seoul, which provide discounted meals to family of three generation who visit the restaurants together. The Citizens United for Better Society (CUBS), co-headed by Yu SE-hee, Hanyang University Vice President, and Jongno-gu Office held a signing ceremony and appointed restaurant Tosokchon, Chebu-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul as 'The First Restaurant of Three Generation Campaign'. Internet Portal Site Junior Naver, Roman Catholic Committee, Jokyejong Followers’ Central Committee, and Hankook Ilbo sponsor this event. "The family is foundation of our society. The divorce rate is soaring and fertility rate is plunging now. Much worse, the problem of the elder is also accelerating the dismantlement of family." Cho Jung-gun, 55, member of the CUBS (on picture) said, "Even at the childhood of the current generation, it is not rare to see a dinner table where grandfather, grandmother, and grandson were enjoying meals together", adding that the purpose of this campaign is to activate educational ground for easing current family problems.
This campaign stared from the idea of giving incentive to model family as a part of the CUBS's 'Creating Better Society' project. Cho said, "You can enjoy discounted meal when you prove you accompany with at least one person in each three generation." The discount ranges from 10 to 50 percent according to the restaurants. As of now, the restaurants, which expressed willingness to take part, are Tosokchon, Harimgak, Jongnomyeonok, Sanchonsyabeu, MyeongdongKalguksu, Hanseonggwan, Gombonaengmyeon, Gwanghwamungadeun, Sansaeri, Ogamdo, Hanilgwan, and so forth.
The CUBS is preparing various events every month as a part of ‘This Month’s Three Generation Family’ such as inviting respectable three generation families to restaurant where family members provide the secrete of their strong family affinity. Cho said, “We plan to extend this campaign to amusement party, cinema house, palace, museum, and so forth.
